The opposition criticized this Saturday the departure of Mario Desbordes from the Ministry of Defense and Sebastián Sichel from the BancoEstado presidency, given the short time they had been in office and ensuring that it is due to their options as presidential candidates.
The president of the PPD, Heraldo Muñoz, indicated that this is a decision that leaves President Sebastián Piñera “even more alone” and that weakens the mining portfolio, given that these cabinet changes left Juan Carlos Jobet as biminister (Mining and Energy).

Little support for the government
Meanwhile, the president of the DC, Fuad Chahín, regretted that Desbordes and Sichel left their positions after a few months of work, which shows -as he indicated- a little support for the government that they support.

For his part, the leader of the Socialist Party, Álvaro Elizalde, indicated that “both are in their legitimate right, however, we are convinced that Chile needs a change, the different alternatives to project Piñerismo in the Government are more of the same “.
