The Chilean women’s team equaled its best position in the FIFA rankings, updated this Friday by the governing body, and where the national cast is again 36th.
Chile climbed one place despite having resumed action with a loss to Zambia and was in the same place it held at the end of 2019, the year the squad led by José Letelier participated in the World Cup in France.
According to the listing, La Roja is the fourth best team on the continent behind Brazil (8th), Colombia (26th) and Argentina (31st).
The ranking is led by the United States, which is escorted by Germany and France.
As data, Cameroon, Chile’s rival in the Olympic playoffs, is currently in 51st place.
