Seremi García lamented the death of three people due to the virus, living in Vicuña, Illapel and Punitaqui.

In addition, it confirmed 39 infections, reaching a total of 13,681 accumulated cases in the region, of which 274 remain with active contagion.

The new infected correspond to the communes of La Serena (6), Coquimbo (5), Illapel (1), Canela (1), Ovalle (16), Monte Patria (5), Punitaqui (1) and 4 from other regions.

Hospitalized patients

On the balance of the Assistance Network, the director of the Health Service (S), Edgardo González, reported that there are 269 units available, out of a total provision of 1,163, which represents 75% of general occupation.

And as for the beds in the Critical Patient Units, there are 7 beds available in the Intensive Care Unit and 12 in the Intermediate Treatment Unit.

While, in Primary Health Care, 6 officials have tested positive for the virus, and 39 are kept in quarantine.
