A multiple collision of proportions is registered during the afternoon of this Thursday in the Ruta A-16 that connects the communes of Iquique with Alto Hospicio, in the Tarapacá Region.
The event occurred after two in the afternoon and involves, at least, 10 vehicles between public transport and private cars.
According to preliminary information, the cause of the accident is due to cutting off the brakes of a truck involved in the incident.
So far and miraculously, no deceased persons have been reported, and the injured are being evaluated by the Samu personnel who attended the place together with the Iquique Fire Department.
The descent route is kept cut off and the authorities have requested that the vehicles go down to Iquique through new access of Bajo Molle.
