The illusion of ‘own stadium’ grew in the fans of University of Chile. The Minister of National Assets, Julio Isamit, He admitted that they are “looking at options” for land for the college cast and other teams.

Isamit even revealed that “today my family asked me, while I was visiting Cerro Chena, if there is a hectare out there that would reach the U stadium.”
“It is a dream of thousands of fans, but we are looking at different options for Universidad de Chile and for some clubs in the regions ”, he added.
In relation to the latter, the head of the National Goods portfolio stressed that “for example in Puerto Montt we gave him a concession for his training center.”
The dream of the ‘blue stadium’ has been around for decades. Even Carlos Heller, a U shareholder, fulfilled this desire when he became president of Azul Azul a couple of years ago. However, the project never materialized.
