Sir Ian McKellen, the actor who played “Gandalf” in The Lord of the Rings and “Magneto” in X-Men, received the coronavirus vaccine.
The 81-year-old interpreter said he felt “euphoric” after receiving the first of two doses of the Pfizer vaccine, according to the BBC.
The Health Service of England released images of the moment when the actor was vaccinated against covid-19.
“I really hope that as more people get vaccinated, we will move on the path back to a more normal way of life,” McKellen said.
Subsequently, he also uploaded a post to his Twitter account. “I feel very lucky to have had the vaccine. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone,” he said.
