Carabinieri stopped teenagers who were traveling in a van through Independence and that they overturned in a residential area, hitting at least six cars. The occupants were retained by the same neighbors.
The situation occurred around 23:00 yesterday, when PDI detectives tried to inspect a truck Stolen Ford Explorer and that it was driven by a 17-year-old boy through Independencia Avenue.
However, the teenager did not stop and eluded control with his two companions, fleeing at high speed.
After that, he turned for Aníbal Pinto and upon reaching Coronel Agustín López de Alcázar he lost control of his mobile, colliding with a car that was parking and damaging another five vehicles that were already parked.
Faced with this situation, the neighbors left their houses and began to record what happened. Further, they captured the protagonists so that they did not escape.
One of the residents and owner of one of the damaged cars indicated that the level of unsafety has increased in the sector.
Finally, the Carabineros managed to arrest two of the individuals, while a third managed to escape.
By order of the North Central Prosecutor’s Office, it will be the Theft Brigade of the PDI the one that will investigate what happened.
