Matías Morla’s lawyer, Mauricio D’Alessandro, revealed details of the process of the succession of assets of Diego Armando Maradona, who died on November 25.
In dialogue with America channel, D’Alessandro revealed the existence of a shoe box in which the former coach of the National Team kept his most precious objects. The only one with the key to the safe was Fluff’s cook.
Morla’s lawyer, who was Maradona’s lawyer, assured that Diego hid the box under the bed, in his room in the house in the San Andrés neighborhood. ‘Monona’, the cook, was the only one to whom Maradona had entrusted the existence of that box. There the objects most precious to the idol were kept, even those that did not go to one of the two conventional safes that were in the house.
According to testimony, after Maradona’s death, ‘Monona’ went to the bedroom and rescued the box. Her purpose was to fulfill the will of Diego, who had assigned her as the keeper of the chest. Later he would deliver it to a relative of the deceased, whose name D’Alessandro did not want to reveal. Among other valuables, in the box there was a ring that according to its old owner is worth $ 300,000.
Likewise, Morla’s legal representative told how one of the last meetings between his client and Maradona was. “You are my best friend,” Diego would have told his attorney a week before he died.
Asked about the brands bearing Maradona’s surname, now owned by Morla, D’Alessandro replied: “Morla has the desire to fulfill Diego’s wish, which is for the brands to be used by Diego’s sisters throughout their lives.”
