As soon as the first payments of the second withdrawal of 10% of the AFPs are executed, in Congress there are already actions that seek to go for a third, which promises to raise another great dust cloud.
And the deputy of the Humanist Party (PH), Pamela Jiles, is once again a protagonist in this matter because a new constitutional reform project was entered this morning, tending to another payment in resources from the pension funds.
The AFPs have already received almost 5 million requests for the second 10% withdrawal and the majority are from men
18% of all active AFP affiliates over 50 years old will run out of funds after withdrawals
“This was already entered this morning, it is in the Chamber and has to continue its course, we hope that the Congress as a whole will assume the responsibility that corresponds to it,” said the chief of staff and husband of the parliamentarian, Pablo Maltese.
The official said that this is based on “the inaction of the government” and that the objective is that it be paid in March, “when the situation is critical.”
But the initiative already generates the first criticisms, both for the substance and for the way it was announced.
“I think it is a symbol of the disorder that exists in the opposition. That an advisor, I understand that a marriage bond with a parliamentarian, whoever makes announcements of laws is part of the decadence, anarchy and disorder that exists in the opposition, ”the deputy told TVN Leonardo Soto (PS).
Along these lines, the parliamentarian said that the concern should focus on the second being carried out in good shape, that not only the payment is resolved in a timely manner, but also the withdrawal for the terminally ill and what has to do with the alimony, “all these rules daddy heart that are not being applied as it should”.
Deputy Miguel Mellado (RN) agreed with Soto in criticizing the way in which the entry of this constitutional reform project was communicated.
“It seems very bad to me that an advisor to a parliamentarian is giving press conferences announcing bills that correspond to those of us who were nominated by the citizens to represent them,” he also told TVN.
“Neither my secretary nor my chief of staff has the powers to be able to make these types of announcements that correspond solely and exclusively to those of us who were elected, who are parliamentarians,” he added.
Along these lines, he recalled that the political world is awaiting the resolution of the Constitutional Court regarding the powers that Congress may have for this type of retreat.
