After a referendum that ended this Sunday night, Democratic revolution decided to agree with Chile Worthy, block that make up the Communist Party and the Social Green Regionalist Federation together with other political forces, to present candidates to the Constitutional Convention.
In the consultation, this option was imposed by 66.6%, which also includes agreements with social organizations, territorial and independent movements.
The alternative posed by an alliance with Constituent Unity parties (PPD, PR, PS, DC, PRO and Ciudadanos) it reached 27.9%. 5.4% of the votes were white.

In this regard, the deputy and president of the RD, Catalina PerezHe pointed out that “we pushed the thesis of maximum unity in progressivism, even accepting the presence of the Christian Democrats if the Communist Party could also attend there. But others were dedicated by omission, like the Socialist Party, or by action, like the DC, to close doors ”.
“We opted for an alliance for dignity, for an alternative to the last 30 years, for October, for the massiveness, for the Chile of those who are left over, for the proposals for change guided by a plurinational State, the recovery of our natural resources, the end of the AFPs and the defense of our sexual and reproductive rights ”, he added.
The parliamentarian also pointed out that “make no mistake, we are not going to stop building bridges. Our invitation remains open for Progressive Convergence. We ask Álvaro Elizalde, Heraldo Muñóz, and Carlos Maldonado not to make a mistake. The reissue of the Concertación is not what Chile needs ”.

“These are times of courage, of new formulas, of social majorities, not of agreed agreements, not of the past, but of the future. They have the opportunity to materialize what they could not execute for 30 years, because now we are many more. We invite them to build, because we are convinced that we must promote agreements with all those who sincerely believe that Chile can and should be different, “added the DR leader.
