The head of the critical patient unit of Clínica Indisa, Sebastian Ugartestated that “the scenario posed by the health authority that we could reach 3,000 cases a day is getting closer and closerBut that was the most optimistic scenario, since it was considered a scenario with 6,000 cases a day and a more pessimistic one with 9,000.
However, he noted that “you do not have to rely on just one day, you have to see complete moving weeks to do an analysis, but the numbers are definitely not good“.
Regarding deaths, in the last 24 hours there were 40 dead registered in the Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS), reaching a total number of 15,886.
In addition, the health authority reported that there was a record number of tests of PCR with 48,054 tests carried out in the last day, surpassing the barrier of 42 thousand, and that the positivity reached 4.45 percent. “It reflects the great effort that is being made to detect new cases in time,” added Paris.
