During the day of this Saturday it was announced about a massive contagion of covid-19 registered in the home of Saint Vincent de Paul, in the city of Angol.
The home located on Pedro Aguirre Cerda street, houses about thirty elderly people, of the four, 27 tested positive after performing the PCR test. Likewise, four of the campus officials also tested positive for covid-19.
The above was confirmed by the director of the Municipal Health department, Faustino Parra, who explained that two of the elderly were taken to a hospital for presenting a slightly more complex picture.
Meanwhile, the regional coordinator of Senama for Araucanía, Karin Mella, assured that they have launched preventive campaigns throughout the area, and that they have been conducting PCR tests in different homes in the region.
He also explained that they themselves install replacement staff in the event that household officials are disabled due to possible infections.
