President Sebastián Piñera said that he hopes that Pfizer’s vaccination will begin soon in Chile for the population at risk.
The Pfizer vaccine has already been approved in the United Kingdom and is about to be authorized in the United States by the FDA, a fundamental step for its approval in Chile by the Institute of Public Health (ISP).
“We have made great progress to ensure a safe and effective vaccine, which we hope to have available and begin to vaccinate starting with the populations at risk during the next days or weeks,” said the President during the Pacific Alliance Summit, where The covid-19 pandemic, the vaccine and the economic crisis were analyzed.
“This will allow us to better control the coronavirus pandemic, and it will also allow us to recover the freedoms and capabilities of all people to fulfill and carry out their dreams and projects,” added the head of state.
The Ministry of Health reported that it expects to start the Pfizer vaccination process in the first quarter of 2021.
