The controversy began as a result of an image with his partner Diana Bolocco and a group of friends during a tour of Valparaiso, one of the Chilean cities most affected by covid-19.
In the comments of the post, Sánchez received greetings but also various criticisms since none of the four present wore sanitary protections in the image, where they appear embraced in one of the Buenos Aires hills.
