Through a WhatsApp message, the deputy of the Unir movement, Patrick RosasHe told his colleagues from the Broad Front this morning that he will withdraw from the coalition and his group.

The departure of the parliamentarian occurs right in the middle of the deep crisis that the conglomerate is going through and adds to the resignations of two other deputies to the bloc: the RD Natalia Castillo Y Pablo Vidal. It is also added to the output of the Liberal Party, who last Saturday decided unanimously to leave the FA.

In the coalition they assured that the parliamentarian was “uncomfortable” with the turn that the Broad Front was taking towards the PC in matters of alliance policy, in the same line of the other deputies who left the Frenteamplismo.

Rosas had joined the RD bench as an independent after resigning from the Socialist Party. Then, together with deputy Marcelo Díaz, he formed the Unir Movement, a group that formally joined the FA on July 16.

All in all, now the coalition will have 12 parliamentarians in total, after the resignations of the two RD and the departure of the two liberal parliamentarians.

From the Unir Movement, meanwhile, they issued a statement, in which they indicated that “during the day of this Thursday, December 10, as the Unir Movement we learned about the decision of the deputy Patricio Rosas to renounce his participation in our political platform, a determination that it is totally legitimate and that we respect ”.

And they added: “In these moments of reconfiguration of political spaces, as Movimiento Unir we express our absolute commitment to the transformation processes required by the new Chile, through the consolidation of a more just society, less unequal and without abuse.”
