What you have to know this Thursday in La Tercera: Alliance between PC and FA puts Sánchez in check / Commerce asks for flexibility in the face of weekend quarantine

In his bet to untie of the former Concertación and consolidating a left pole, the president of the PC, Guillermo Teillier, yesterday appreciated that the deputy and founder of the Democratic Revolution, Giorgio Jackson, made explicit the intention of forming an electoral alliance with his party.

“After the outbreak It seems to us that an agreement with the Frente Amplio is more natural than with the former Concertación, ”said the communist helmsman in an interview with La Tercera PM, pointing to a common agreement for face the election of the Constitutional Convention and also to face the race for La Moneda.

From the National Chamber of Commerce and the Santiago Chamber of Commerce requested that they be allowed to open on weekends and that capacity be expanded, maintaining at least 50% of the stores’ capacity.

• The guild argued that there are even health reasons behind their demand, because if they cannot open on weekends, larger crowds of consumers could be registered on business days.

They added that the main focuses of contagions are not in the formal trade, but in social gatherings and in the crowds that occur in the public thoroughfare, often associated with street trade.

Before the requirements, Economy Minister Lucas Palacios said they are analyzing measures to alleviate the impact of the health restriction, including delaying the start of the curfew and even allowing the premises to operate on weekends. Read more of this story.
