They investigate the murder of a person on the beach of Viña del Mar
The victim was shot after an incident that is being investigated by Carabineros personnel on Caleta Abarca beach.
Carabineros and PDI personnel investigate the murder of a person who was shot in the chest during the afternoon of this Tuesday in the Caleta Abarca sector in Viña del Mar.
According to information provided by the captain of the 1st Viña del Mar Police Station, Cristián Lobovsky, the institution’s officials received a call that one person was shot on the Caleta Abarca beach.
That is why the uniformed officers quickly transferred the injured to the Gustavo Fricke Hospital, where he died minutes later.
The officer added according to preliminary inquiries, there would have been a confrontation between two groups of people who had quarrels between them at the end of Caleta Abarca in the area of some rocks.
It is in this context that one of these people he extracts a firearm to strike a shot that wounded the deceased in the thoracic region.
Likewise, the captain explained that there were not many people who became aware of the events because the site of the event is located in the most western sector and away from the beach.
The Prosecutor’s Office instructed the PDI Homicide Brigade to establish the circumstances in which the events occurred. On the other hand, no detainees are registered.
