One dead left a shooting that occurred this Tuesday in the Caleta Abarca beach sector, in the city of Viña del Mar.
The event occurred at around 7:40 p.m. under the Capuchinos bridge, as reported by the captain of the Port of Valparaíso, commander Ricardo Alcaino.
“We received a telephone call to the maritime emergency number, indicating that there had been a shooting in the Caleta Abarca beach sector, under the Capuchinos bridge. Patrols were immediately deployed to the sector. Together with the support of the Carabineros, the veracity was verified of the situation and the person was evacuated by SAMU ambulance “, detailed the naval authority.
Despite the help of emergency teams, the 24-year-old victim passed away due to the severity of his injuries.
“Based on the antecedents provided by witnesses, the search for the aggressor in flagrante delicto was started on the beach, awaiting the instruction of the Public Ministry,” said the commander.
The Prosecutor’s Office instructed the Homicide Brigade of the Investigative Police (PDI) to clarify the case.
Until now no detainees are reported for this fact.
