Chong prosecutor’s case: Court of Appeals revokes the freedom of seven of the eight formalized and leaves them with preventive detention

This Monday, the sixth chamber of the Santiago Appeals Court revoked the freedom of seven of the eight formalized by the death threats to the chief prosecutor of High Complexity North Center Ximena Chong.

The only one who was with the precautionary measure of preventive detention was Pablo Martínez, since a UZI submachine gun had been found at his home.

However, after the appeal of the prosecutor Francisco Jacir, the capital’s appeal court determined, unanimously, that the other seven suspects comply with the precautionary measure of preventive detention.

In this way, the court, made up of the ministers Jéssica González, María Rosa Kittsteiner and the lawyer Rodrigo Asenjo, decided to revoke the resolution issued last week by the Seventh Court of Guarantee of Santiago and decree the maximum precautionary measure for the other seven formalized .

In principle, they would comply with the precautionary measure in Santiago Uno or the High Security Prison.
