The entire Metropolitan Region goes back to Transition (Step 2) from this Thursday, December 10 and the adjustments of the Step by Step plan no longer only include restaurants, but also public swimming pools, which may continue to operate, despite the government’s call for care.
Originally, restaurants could serve the public in closed spaces with reduced capacity at Initial Opening (Step 4), but then they were authorized from Preparation (Step 3). Now, the demand has been lowered again and they will be able to serve on terraces from Step 2.
The In addition, public swimming pools will not require to be in communes in Step 3 or Step 4 to function., because despite the Transition, in Santiago the Tupahue area of the Metropolitan Park will remain open.
The Minister of Housing, Felipe Ward, confirmed the measure on Twitter, adding that the Zoo will also be receiving public during the working days of the week.
