An upcoming Family Emergency Income (IFE) payment it has already been confirmed by the government. This benefit was included in the recently approved Budget Law, so the funds allocated to the IFE are ready to be used at any time that is necessary, depending on the development of the pandemic.
However, the contribution will be aimed at families living in quarantined communes and it would reach 3.5 million homes, the same universe that received the sixth IFE, which is equivalent to about 8 million people.

Who will be the beneficiaries of this benefit?
- Quarantined families
- Households benefited with the 6th payment of the IFE
- Households that have a family subsidy cause or a user of the subsystem of Security and Opportunities.
In addition, the amount per person in the household will increase from $ 65,000 to $ 100,000, rising from $ 260,000 to $ 400,000 for a family of 4 with no formal income.
While the resources allocated to families with more members will be:
- Family of 5: $ 467,000
- Family of 6: $ 531,000
- Family of 7: $ 592,000
- Family of 8: $ 649,000
- Family of 9: $ 705,000
- Family of 10: $ 759,000

When and how will the benefit be paid?
According to the Minister of Finance, Ignacio Briones, this contribution will be paid in 2021, for one or two months in the areas that require it.
In addition, the payment of the benefit will be distributed in the same way as the sixth IFE, that is, by payment in the Rut Account of BancoEstado, deposit in a bank account or face-to-face collection at branches.
