Barcelona, with four games won, two tied and four lost, registers the worst start of the League in the last 33 years, highlights this Sunday the Spanish sports newspaper Sport.
Since the 1987-88 season, Barcelona had not started as badly in La Liga as it does in the current campaign. After the first 10 games, the team led by Ronald Koeman occupies the seventh place with 14 points and 12 from the leader Atlético de Madrid with the same disputed matches, the newspaper says.

It is very difficult to explain, it may be because we lack concentration, we lack aggressiveness, but it is not easy to explain how we conceded the second goal ”, explained the Dutch coach at a press conference in reference to the ‘blooper’ that he unleashed in Álvaro Negredo’s goal, which meant the surprising and painful defeat of the Catalans on their visit to Cadiz.
And he added: “We have ups and downs in our games, in our attitude, although in principle it is good, but there are times when it is not. For example, when entering a play on the contrary if we enter strong or leave spaces. That is the difference. When we don’t have the ball, we miss a lot. This is an attitude of the whole team ”, clarified.
Regarding the possibilities of his team to continue fighting for the title, Koeman was hopeful that there is still a long way to go but he knows that Barcelona already left many points along the way: “It is a giant step back in our chances of fighting for the League. Barcelona will face Juventus at home on Tuesday for the European Champions League and must endorse the classification in the first place of the group with a view to the round of 16.
