The image of Piñera without the mask evidences the latent contradiction between speech and action, and it occurs just at a time when the authority’s instructions must be extremely clear to avoid regrowth. Added to this specific case is the occasion on which the President posed on April 3 at the foot of the Baquedano monument, causing great questioning due to his images.
