As explained by the chief of staff, the meeting analyzed the “critical points” that may have the process from when the vaccines leave their country of origin until they reach the destination nations.
The latter, considering the warning that Interpol issued to its 194 member countries, alerting them to members that “while governments prepare to launch vaccines, criminal organizations plan to infiltrate or interrupt supply chains.”
At the end of the meeting, Delgado said that the government and the police are building a plan to “Ensure not only that the final distribution will be efficient, but also heed this Interpol alert that tomorrow could mean the falsification or illegal sale of vaccines that are not certified by the health authority”.
Meanwhile, the director of the PDI commented that this “It is a matter of national security.
