To die for cuteness: Buin Zoo introduces its first pair of red pandas

The Buin Zoo presented its first pair of red pandas on Thursday, specimens that are in danger of extinction.

The presentation of Popo and Ichiha It is part of a global conservation project for these species.

Both animals arrived at the zoo in March from Japan’s Nifrel Park after several years of talks between the two institutions.

Of this species only approximately 3,000 specimens remain worldwide, including the 626 that are found in zoos under human care.
