A fire keeps the commune of sacred Family, Maule region, according to Onemi reported on Saturday night.
The incident called “La Quebrada” has already affected an approximate area of 500 hectares vegetation, according to figures provided by the emergency office at about 9:50 p.m.
According to Onemi, eight brigades, four technicians, one plane, two helicopters and a Conaf Command Post had to work this day. They were joined by an ambulance from the Chilean Safety Association (ACHS), two private helicopters and the support of another aircraft arranged by Onemi herself.
They also specified that the Yellow Alert was declared this Thursday, but – given the wide extent affected – the Maule Intendancy decided to update it this Saturday until further notice.
