Court revokes preventive detention of policeman accused of shooting minors in Sename home

This Saturday, the Concepción Court of Appeals lowered the precautionary measures of the second corporal of the Carabineros, John Mograve, formalized for shooting against two minors in a residence dependent on the Sename in Talcahuano.

According to the BioBioChile slogan, the court decided to lift Mograve’s preventive detention, who must now remain under full house arrest.

The public criminal defender, Claudio Vigueras, had advanced last Wednesday to the aforementioned media that they would request the reduction of the precautionary measure, considering it disproportionate.

It should be remembered that this event occurred on November 18 inside the Carlos Macera home in Talcahuano, when the support of the Carabineros was requested for a decompensated minor.

It was found that two minors, ages 14 and 17, were shot and taken to Las Higueras Hospital, where they were visited by the Minister of the Interior, Rodrigo Delgado.

This new incident caused Mario Rozas to present his resignation as General Director of the Carabineros, being replaced by Ricardo Yáñez, following the decision of President Sebastián Piñera.
