Three weeks after the first attempt, the opposition presented a new motion of censure against the table of the Chamber of Deputies and Deputies, chaired since April by the National Renovation activist Diego Paulsen.
The last November 3, just minutes after the Chamber approved the constitutional indictment against Víctor Pérez (later rejected in the Senate), the Radical Party presented a first motion of censure.
The action generated controversy, because the center-left itself interpreted the apparent link between the accusation of Pérez and the censorship of the table as a bad sign. After a series of mutual recriminations, less than 24 hours later, the Radical Party itself withdrew the motion, although anticipating that it hoped to replace it “in a couple of weeks.”
This was accomplished today with a new presentation, but from four opposition committees headed by deputies Alexis Sepúlveda (PR), Camila Vallejo (PC), Claudia Mix (Comunes) and Giorgio Jackson (RD).

The argument was the same as three weeks ago: that the deputies Camila vallejo Y Cristóbal Urruticoechea (RN) were not allowed to vote in a session on October 15, regarding the Comprehensive Child Sex Education project, because they started the discussion in person and ended it online.
Diego Paulsen: We are going to defend ourselves
The president of the Corporation Diego Paulsen (RN) pointed out that “the argument of the presentation has no validity whatsoever. We are going to defend ourselves … Clearly they are charging us with something that the parliamentary committees agreed unanimously in that session. “
“I believe that with Deputy Undurraga we have spent eight months leading this table, together with Deputy Gonzalez (Rodrigo), we have given guarantees to all political colors. We are not going to allow ourselves to be taken away for something that, of course, is not true … It was not what was agreed in committee. We have respected the regulations and the Constitution“, assured the parliamentarian.
The motion of censure against the table is entered and it would have to be voted on in the next ordinary sessionThat is, Tuesday of next week. In the event that the censorship is approved and the corporation’s board is dismissed, there must be elections 45 hours after removal.
