Chilean singer Ana Tijoux was chosen among the 100 most influential women of 2020 by the BBC.
“Ana Tijoux is a Chilean hip hop artist. Feminist and activist in her lyrics, she denounces social and cultural deficiencies,” said the British network.
The BBC also indicated that the singer “vindicates the rights of women and denounces gender violence,” highlighting the song “Antipatriarca” from her 2014 album “Vengo”.
Similarly, they stressed that Tijoux “frequently participates in campaigns against inequality and oppression in the world.”
