The senator Ivan Moreira (UDI) caused outrage over his macho sayings during a tense debate with the deputy Karol cariola (PC), in the middle of the morning “With You in the Morning”.
The parliamentarian treated her as a “child”, a “populist” and said that “because of her status as a woman she takes advantage”, harshly criticizing the Communist Party.

The discussion took place regarding the project for the second withdrawal of 10% of pension funds and the new initiative proposed by the Government.
“Don’t be disrespectful. You don’t have to qualify me that way,” Deputy Cariola told him.
Faced with this, both accused each other of disrespecting “the people” and Moreira ended up explaining that he had to leave due to a prior commitment.
But the entertainer Julio Cesar Rodriguez he intervened, slowing down the senator’s departure: “He dropped the cluster bomb and is leaving,” he accused.
“The one that drops the cluster bomb, and because of her status as a woman takes advantage, is the Communist Party,” the UDI replied, being interrupted by the panel.

But Moreira insisted: “What happens is that it burdens me that the Communist Party with a woman’s perfume have an attitude of dissociating our country, of calling for the resignation of the President, of calling for violence, of applauding violence … “.
Monserrat Alvarez, host of the program, could not stand those words either and explained that “what happens, Senator Moreira, is that the Communist Party has empowered women with personality and political leadership, and that is what you want in any party.”
