This Monday Carabineros announced a new modification to the High Command of the institution, about three weeks after the last modification and days after General Ricardo Yáñez took over as the organization’s top director.
The change consisted in that General Iván Ketterer left his post and was called to retirement, while Colonels Iván Monje and César Bobadilla were promoted to General, and Rodrigo Cerca to General Inspector.
“In tune with what the community needs and expects from the institution, this High Command will have the mission of leading the 60 thousand men and women who make up its ranks in the reform process of the Carabineros,” the institution’s statement said.
Yáñez was appointed general director of the Carabineros on Thursday of last week, being the fourth person to hold the position during the government of Sebastián Piñera, after the departures of Bruno Villalobos, Hermes Soto and Mario Rozas.
