PDI personnel detained a man accused of being the alleged perpetrator of the brutal homicide of a man on the street in the center of Concepción.
The crime occurred in the center of the capital of Penquista and was uncovered on Friday, when the victim was seen lying on Tucapel Street, some 30 meters before reaching Barros Arana, where a chilling reddish stain offered an idea of the injuries suffered in the head.
The fatal victim is a 28-year-old young man living on the streets, associated with punk culture, who roamed the center, especially in the vicinity of the Courts, and who used to sleep in residences under the Covid Social Development plan.
According to what was indicated, the young man was beaten with a rectangular stick half a meter long, with nails in the ends, which was left with the dying injured man, who was taken to the Regional Hospital at 04:30 a.m. on Friday and whose death was confirmed two hours later.
In this way and through a press release, the PDI confirmed the arrest of a 47-year-old man as a suspect in the crime.
It is expected that the subject will be brought to justice during the day of this Saturday, for its formalization.
The Homicide Squad and the PDI crime lab then began the investigation, following the relevant scientific steps, the results of which were reported by Subprefect Oscar Alvarado.
The detainee is 47 years old, he also lives on the street and spent the night outside, near the crime scene: outside the Caja Los Andes building, on the side of Tucapel, where he built a hut based on cardboard, cans and plastics.
The reason for the discussion that ended in the brutal crime where the victim, who had a police record for robbery in an uninhabited place, tried to steal species from the perpetrator taking advantage of his carelessness, generating the fatal aggression.
