The Talcahuano Guarantee Court decreed this Friday the preventive detention for Second Sergeant John Mograve, after being formalized for shooting two minors in a Sename center in Talcahuano.
The Bío Bío Region Prosecutor’s Office formalized Mograve for the crimes of unlawful coercion and cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment.
In addition to ordering preventive detention, the Court also determined an investigation period of three months, despite the fact that the Prosecutor’s Office requested that it be eight months.
Mograve is investigated for what happened on Wednesday, after Carabineros personnel arrived at about 5:00 p.m. accompanied by SAMU officials, by a minor who had been decompensated.
The presence of the uniformed men would have caused the annoyance of the minors, who began to throw stones and objects at the police, three of whom were injured. At that moment, Second Sergeant Mograve Villega fired at the teenagers, wounding two of them.
