An obvious change has shown the government’s action in the framework of the debate over the withdrawal of pension funds. Out of a total opposition and rejection, the authority decided to join the idea – before the imminent approval of the opposition project for a new withdrawal without restrictions – but with an initiative that poses several conditions.
And that is precisely what the government spoke about this morning. Along with defending the Executive’s project, the Secretary General of the Government, Jaime Bellolio, once attacked the opposition’s initiative, arguing that it is unconstitutional.

“We have a certain obligation that there are no constitutional traps, that is why the government decides to present a 10% withdrawal bill,” said government spokesman Jaime Bellolio this morning in conversation with Radio Universo.
And if the action changes, so does the speech because now the Secretary of State affirmed that the Executive is not opposed to the withdrawal itself, but to the fact that those people with high net worth make the rescue without paying taxes
“The government is not against the withdrawal of 10%, it is against the mechanism that is being used And in that retirement that we have set, it seems to us that the highest incomes do have to pay taxes; otherwise it would be a little less than a billion dollars and it does not seem to us that there is little money in which it has to subsidize high income, “he said.

However, Bellolio acknowledged that in any case there will be a second payment of money to the people from pensions, only that it remains to be seen how it will be done.

Bellolio insisted that the government is using a “legal mechanism”, focused on the most vulnerable people and that it does not exempt people with high incomes from taxes.
“We are clear that there will already be that retreat. It seems to us that it is not a good policy to improve pensions; we have to advance in a pension reform. If the pension reform that was approved in the Chamber 9 months ago were approved today, we would have immediately improved their pensions for 800 thousand people, especially for the middle class and women, ”he said.
