Pablo Longueira cannot be a constituent candidate or president of the UDI, and he will not be able to vote in the first of governors.
The Clinic today details that the Guarantee Court included the former minister among the list of people who have their rights suspended. The information reached the electoral body and also the Supreme Court of the UDI.
And this why? Well, because Longueira is in the prelude to prepare for the oral trial of the SQM case, where he faces charges of bribery and tax crimes as consummated and repeated.
The Public Ministry accuses that the former minister colluded with the former manager of the mining company, Patricio Contesse, to draft the mining Royalty Law in exchange for the payment of a series of resources that were close to him and his foundations.
Longueira a few months ago he returned to the public meeting, where he stated from the beginning that he wanted to vote for approval, be a constituent, and run for the presidency of the UDI.
