Santiago Metro reports closure of stations due to demonstrations and clashes in Alameda

During the afternoon of this Wednesday a demonstration that was called outside the Central House of the University of Chile, a mobilization that hoped to reach the front of La Moneda.

During the congregation of people a series of clashes with Carabineros, who have also used water spray carts and tear gas to disperse those present in the vicinity of the Universidad de Chile metro.

On the other hand, and due to the call, the traffic has been interrupted in the area. For the same reason, they have been reported detours that motorists can access during rush hour.

According to TransporteInforma, detours of collective locomotion are being made from Alameda to the east by Avenida España, while in Providencia to the west by Arzobispo and Salvador.

In the case of private vehicles, the detours are carried out from Alameda to the east by Manuel Rodríguez, and to the west by Mac-Iver.

On the other hand they also reported on the closure of the perimeter near La Moneda. In this way, the entrance to Morandé in the Alameda, from Moneda through San Antonio, Agustinas through Amunátegui and finally Teatinos through Orphans is closed.

At the same time, the Metro de Santiago reported on the closure of the Universidad de Chile station, corresponding to Line 3 and Line 1, until further notice.

However, the combination at the station is available.

Subsequently, the closure of the stations on Line 1 was also added, La Moneda and Santa Lucía.
