Two minors were wounded by gunshot in the middle of a police procedure inside a home dependent on Sename, in the commune of Talcahuano, Bío Bío region.

The event was recorded in the afternoon of this Wednesday at the Carlos Macera residence, located in the Diego Portales population of the port commune.

According to a preliminary report by Radio Bío Bío, two minors, 17 and 14 years old, were wounded by gunshots, in a confusing incident carried out by police inside the home.

After this, the injured minors were transferred by SAMU personnel to Las Higueras Hospital. At the moment the state of health of those affected is unknown.

Through her twitter account, the children’s ombudsman, Patricia Muñoz, said that the police entered the residence and fired at the two children, who were injured.

Subsequently, Muñoz assured that as Ombudsman for Children they reiterate once again the request to the Government to adopt the necessary measures so that the police “stop threatening the lives of children and adolescents.

He also assured that the entity will present the corresponding legal actions, but assured that the damage is done, adding that they hope that this time there will be clear consequences for this malicious and manifest act against the lives of the children.

Radio Bío Bío contacted the Sename of the region, an entity that indicated that it would pronounce on the situation during the next few minutes.

At the moment, neither the Carabineros nor the Justice Department have referred to this situation.
