Plan “Step by Step”: Five communes of the Metropolitan Region advance to initial opening

The Ministry of Health announced this Monday that Eight communes throughout the country are advancing to different phases of the “Step by Step” Plan.

In the Metropolitan Region the communes of Providencia, Peñaflor, Macul, Central Station and Buin went on to phase four of initial opening starting this Thursday, November 19 at 05:00.

They also advance to the stage of preparation the communes of Coihueco (Ñuble Region) and Pitrufquen (Araucania region).

Meanwhile, in the extreme south, the commune of Future, in the Magallanes Region, advances to phase two of transitionHowever, the curfew is maintained from 20:00 to 05:00 in the morning.

COVID-19 BALANCE

On the last day they reported 1,331 new infections and 44 deaths registered by the Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS), while it was announced that there are currently 9,374 active cases.

Of the 1,331 new cases, 848 of them have symptoms and 447 are asymptomatic, adding to a total of 532,604 since the pandemic began in our country.

The Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, noted that “12 regions drop their cases and four increase their cases in relation to the chaos of yesterday. “

However, he pointed out that “we are concerned about the communes of southern Chile and, in addition, we must issue a warning of concern to Hualpén, San Pedro de La Paz, Concepción and Talcahuano.”
