Chilean striker Eduardo Vargas experienced a great debut with the Atlético Mineiro jersey. The national attacker played 89 minutes, gave a luxurious assist and earned the praise of DT Jorge Sampaoli for his role in his new team’s 2-1 win over Corinthians on the road.

The former Tigres, who acted as a pointer for the right sector, enabled Guilherme Arana with a lucid cue, who scored the 1-1 partial at 61 minutes.

Matheus Alvarenga (6 ‘) had overtaken the local, while Marrony (83’) scored the goal that sentenced the visitor’s victory, within the framework of the 21st day of the Brasileirao.

“Vargas is a player about whom we have high expectations,” said Jorge Sampaoli of the Chilean forward, adding that “That’s why he played from the beginning. He will be a very important piece in our team.”
