This morning, the list of members called “More Doctors” was announced, who will compete with the current board, led by Dr. Izkia Siches, in the elections of the Medical College that will take place between December 10 and 13.

One of the fundamental principles of the candidacy of the list is the creation of a series of norms that prohibit the politicization of COLMED, so that it is not used as a political tool. This was commented by Dr. Renato Acuña, candidate for president of the Medical College for the “More Doctors” list.


According to its members, the list also seeks to reduce the membership fee and strongly support foreign doctors who wish to join, in addition to providing the union with greater transparency in financial management.

In addition to Dr. Renato Acuña, who is a pediatric surgeon at the Alemana Clinic, the rest of the candidacy is made up of Dr. Álvaro Llancaqueo as vice president, Dr. Carla Sacco in the treasury, Dr. Germán Ávalos in the general secretary and Dr. Ana Velozo as prosecutor.
