During yesterday afternoon, Carabineros detained a subject who was denounced for having raped his partner and kidnapping her along with her two-year-old son for three days in the Cartagena commune, in the Valparaíso Region.
It was the same victim who around noon was able to reach the 2nd Police Station of that traditional spa, where he managed to give his testimony. The woman arrived with obvious injuries to her left eye and accompanied by the minor, who also showed some injuries on his face.
According to the woman’s statements, the 33-year-old man, with whom she has lived for nine months, kept her locked up since Wednesday, November 11 at 8:00 p.m. at the address where they lived, on La Marina street in Cartagena.
There, the kidnapper allegedly sexually abused her in the presence of her son, also attacking her with a log during the three days.
Only because the subject did not have more money, the victim was able to escape, after he gave her some gold rings to pawn in a local in Cartagena so that he could have money to feed himself.
After the complaint, police personnel were able to find the aggressor’s whereabouts, achieving his arrest while exchanging the jewels.
At the time of arrest, it was stated that the subject had threatened the officials with death.
During this day, the individual identified with the initials AALF, and who maintains previous arrests for the crime of family violence, will go to detention control.
