The government spokesman, Jaime Bellolio, came out this Saturday in defense of his peer from the Treasury, Ignacio Briones, accusing that “whoever says that we have not helped the most vulnerable and the middle class in a robust way is missing the truth” .
Through a Twitter thread, the UDI Secretary of State highlighted the work of Sebastián Piñera’s administration in the midst of the pandemic.
Thus, Bellolio listed the benefits delivered by the Executive, among which is the delivery of the covid-19 bond, with resources for more than 132 billion pesos; the guarantee fund for small entrepreneurs, totaling more than 182 billion pesos; and the Emergency Family Income (IFE), for more than $ 3.4 billion.
The latter, according to their estimates, “is what 15 highly complex hospitals cost.”
“The President @sebastianpinera commissioned his ministers to deploy an aid plan and the min @ignaciobriones_ has done a very thorough and dedicated job. Whoever says that we have not helped the most vulnerable and the middle class in a robust way is missing the truth (sic) ”, reflected Bellolio.
