The president of National Renovation, Rafael Prohens, came out in defense of the official recriminations that have arisen against of the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency and activist of the community, Cristián Monckeberg, after approval in the Chamber of Deputies of the constitutional accusation against Víctor Pérez and the second withdrawal of 10%.

Specifically, the senator noted to the questions raised from the presidents of the UDI, Jacqueline van Rysselberghe and Evópoli, Andrés Molina, against the head of the Segpres -in charge of negotiations in Congress- as a result of the latest setbacks suffered by the coalition in the House.

“Not only are they a huge injustice towards a minister who has come to put dialogue and respect as fundamental values of the coalition, that has prompted a new real deal with the parties, but also they constitute an enormous folly, by showing disaffection with the government and an unhealthy interest in obtaining some personal or corporate political profit from a moment of tension in the sector ”.

“The little game of hitting the RN ministers must end here and now”the senator warned. And he added that “it is time to work for the unity of the sector.”

His words show the tension and friction that still remain within the ruling party as a result of the latest failures in Congress, specifically after the approval of the second 10% withdrawal. This despite the fact that the government came out today to rule out a “breakdown” in Chile. We are going after the parliamentary criticism of the government and the fact that the heads of the bench of deputies of the three parties put cold cloths on their differences with the Executive.

“We are not going to allow this situation to extend over time or to be taken as a pastime that has no consequences. RN is a party and also a political project. Our ministers, in that sense, are our representatives and we are going to take care of them. The Chile Vamos unit is something that must be protected day by day and it seems to me that it is time to put a stop to this situation, ”added the RN boss.

For Prohens “the most important thing now is that we not only turn the page, but also draw lessons from everything that happened again in these weeks as a coalition “ and that “it is up to us, as parliamentarians of Chile Vamos, to make an assessment of how we are working and how we respond as a bloc to the challenges posed by the pandemic, the economic crisis and unemployment.”

The senator is expected to go to La Moneda in the next few months to meet with Monckeberg to deliver an agenda of the party’s legislative priorities “focused on the social, health, entrepreneurship and employment agenda.”

The heads of the bench of deputies of the Chile Vamos parties came out this afternoon to put cold cloths on their differences with the government after the approval of the second withdrawal of 10% of the AFPs.

Thus, Sebastián Torrealba (RN), María José Hoffman (UDI) and Luciano Cruz Coke (Evópoli) called for unity in the sector and to continue working on the Executive’s social agenda.

This despite the warning that Hoffmann herself made yesterday to the government that the relationship of the bank that she leads with La Moneda was going to change.

“Today the responsibilities belong to everyone. You cannot blame one minister or another. Both Minister (Ignacio) Briones and (Cristián) Monckeberg have done a good job in Congress and we thank them, but we have to coordinate better. We have to look inward and see where we have made a mistake and amend the course, “said Torrealba.

Deputy Hoffmann, meanwhile, assured that Chile Vamos will “defend each of the ministers who may eventually be unjustly accused, whether they are Evópoli, RN or the UDI, that is our premise.”

Regarding her remarks yesterday in the Chamber of the Chamber, the UDI parliamentarian assured that “what is behind our annoyance has to do with the way we relate to the Government and for that it is important that this change not only with the UDI, but Let’s go with the Chile matches ”.

“We don’t want to be part of the costs alone, in the bad times, but also to be in the good ones. It is important that our political project has a future and for that the Government has to listen more to its parties, it is important that when the government arrives at this Congress it arrives with a single firm and clear position and with conviction, when it has a strategy it is hold, “he added.

Finally, Cruz-Coke added that “the four parties are coordinated to carry out the government’s political agenda and that will has not changed. That is our main concern, and in that sense it is important to respect the ministers and be up to the challenge that we have as a country today ”.
