2-year-old girl dies in traffic accident: tree fell on car in which she was driving
A 2-year-old girl died this Tuesday in the Los Lagos commune, Los Ríos region.
The incident occurred at around 4:00 p.m. in the Las Huellas sector, while the minor and her family were traveling aboard their car, a Hyundai SUV.
It was at that moment, when surprisingly, a tree fell on the roof of the vehicle from a approximate height of 20 meters, as detailed by the Los Lagos commissioner, Mayor Aymer Henríquez.
The event left several injuries to SCAV and his family. They were immediately transferred by Carabineros personnel who arrived in the sector, to the communal hospital.
Despite medical efforts, the girl died, given the severity of her injuries.
By order of the prosecutor Claudia Baeza, the rigorous expert opinions were in charge of the Carabineros Criminalistics Laboratory, whose officials must clarify the causes that caused the fall of the tree.
