The Chillán PDI Sex Crimes Investigation Brigade detained a 22-year-old university student accused of raping a classmate in the context of a party.
“Investigative proceedings were carried out based on the victim’s account, who would have suffered a sexual assault while intoxicated“explained the Commissioner Igor Ibáñez, deputy chief of the Brisex Chillán.
The officer added that “The situation was noticed by one of the party participants, who obtained an audiovisual record of the moment in which the rape occurred, which he later exhibited to the victim, who until then did not know what had happened to him. “
As a result of the foregoing, the young woman filed a complaint and the Prosecutor’s Office requested a series of medical examinations and investigative procedures from the Criminalistics Laboratory (Lacrim), which allowed biological evidence related to the crime for the arrest of the aggressor.
At the end of the formalization, carried out before the Chillán Guarantee Court, the defendant was left with total house arrest, which was appealed by the Public Ministry, for which he it will correspond to the Court of Chillán to resolve the precautionary measure.
