Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro expressed that he aspires to achieve through dialogue a relationship of respect with the next government of Joe Biden and stated that Donald Trump leaves a minefield between Washington and Caracas that could be forgotten if Biden honors his commitment to the voters who voted hopefully that he will lead a great change.
“Donald Trump leaves a minefield between the United States government and Venezuela,” Maduro said in a televised government act. “But Venezuela here is always ready for dialogue, cooperation, understanding,” he added.
Along the same lines, the Venezuelan president said that he hopes that the “powerful and diverse public opinion movement that rose up strongly” in the United States, pays the way for change.
“Joe Biden recognized in his victory speech, he recognized the diversity of the coalition that made him president of the United States,” he said.
“The Democratic Party has not won, Donald Trump has lost; and Joe Biden has received the vote of hope from an immense majority of Americans who want changes in the United States and changes in the world, and an end to interventionism in the countries of America America and the hegemony of the United States ends, trying to be the government of the world, “he said.
Maduro, cautious, said that in any case “let’s not fool ourselves.”
Maduro has repeatedly said that for his government it was indifferent who won the elections in the United States, considering that Democrats and Republicans act in the same way against Venezuela and any other country that is independent of US foreign policy.
