Moraga indicated that, despite the fact that the “Gambita” was considered by many to be homeless, he was not in a homeless situation, since he lived in the house of one of his relatives in Villa Hualpén, in the same commune.
Precisely and due to the limited resources of his family, the municipality of Hualpén stated that it would be responsible for the burial expenses of Rivas.
This was indicated by the mayor herself, Katherine torres, who also described the neighbor as a “humble, respectful and very loving” person.
Meanwhile, the seremi of Social Development, along with regretting his death, indicated that fortunately the work plan of his portfolio has made it possible to keep the level of covid-19 contagions very low among people on the streets that they keep on record, calling on the entire population to maintain security measures against the pandemic.
