The president of the ANFP, Pablo Milad, ruled out the presence of Gary Medel and Charles Aránguiz in the roster of the selection for the next double date of qualifiers to Qatar 2022.
In the context of an activity for the signing of the agreement between the Chilean Soccer Federation and ProChile for the internationalization of the Chilean team, the manager reported on the situation of both players.
“The information has already been made transparent by the exclusion of ‘Charly’ (Aránguiz) due to injury and also Gary (Medel), who is not recovered. That is what I can give so far until the payroll is ratified, ”Milad said.
“The medical teams, both from the Federation and with the clubs, have been working until last night on the latest reports of some players that we still have doubts about calling, such as some who have been exposed to the virus and have not had a significant recovery from the respiratory point of view and that is going to condition the list ”, he warned.
Claudio Baeza is one of the players who had covid-19 after the first dates of the qualifiers.
The Chilean team must play this Friday, November 13, the first match of this double date against Peru at the National Stadium in Santiago. Then, he must go to Venezuela to face the “llaneros” on Tuesday, November 17.
