Since the Minister of Finance Ignacio Briones request personal data of those who withdrew 10%, it has not been easy, since it has received criticism, both from political sectors and citizens. And yesterday this became clear, when he was rebuked by passersby in the heart of Santiago.
Today in an interview with T13 Radio, the Secretary of State said that “I am not afraid of the street, the day one is afraid to go out for a walk in his own country we are blown away.”
Regarding what happened yesterday, Briones insisted and said that “there was everything, but I took it easy. I like to converse with people in the street; it would lower his profile ”.

On the other hand, he explained again the reason for requesting the RUT of the people who withdrew their percentage of funds from the AFPs. “What we request from the Superintendency is that database for statistical purposes, which allows us to cross that database with another,” he said.
“In the Treasury, no authority, including myself, has access to the server where this data is stored, which, in addition, following international protocols, is eliminated in 15 days,” he indicated, adding that “this is not something new (…) I want to give certainty that this information has a strictly statistical purpose, it does not scrutinize personal data ”.
