Durán had agreed with his RN peer, Camila Flores, to replace her in the Commission, but during this day he denounced that Torrealba prevented him from voting today in that instance.
“Deputy Camila Flores yesterday publicly announced that I was going to be her replacement on the Constitution Commission, and she told the president of the Commission (Matías Walker). And today again the deputy Sebastián Torrealba – he does everything impossible – so that I do not participate in this commission. They are preventing me from voting to replace the deputy Camila Flores… Supposedly, because I am against some indications, they do not even know how I am going to vote, but they are denying me to participate in the commission, ”Durán denounced.
“Sebastián Torrealba has been the worst bench chief we have ever had, he does not respect his militants, he does not respect me as a member of parliament (…) Not only am I being discriminated against, but also all those people who trusted us to represent them, precisely, in these key moments ”, he added.
Durán regretted that the head of the bench only wants to put obstacles to the processing of the project. “The citizens that voted for us are waiting for us mean signs like these.
